About this opportunity
Established in 2014, in honour of Walter Moore, Emeritus Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Sydney, the Walter Moore Honours Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students enrolled in the Honours program in the School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides $5,000 to support students currently enrolled in the honours program in the School of Chemistry. The Scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, assessed on average marks across 3 or more designated 3000-level chemistry units. Preference is given to applicants who demonstrate evidence of identity as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, financial hardship, long-term medical condition, regional or remote disadvantage, or carer responsibilities. Recipients must have an unconditional offer of full-time admission in an Honours degree within the School of Chemistry and maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout the program.
