About this opportunity
Awarded to a computer science student who has already completed two work terms in the Co-operative Education Program and intends to return to the UPEI Computer Science program in the next academic year. Successful recipient will demonstrate commitment to the program and have a minimum 75% average in the preceding academic year. Recommended by Computer Science department Chair. This award was established by Wayne Cutcliffe, who has been a part of the fabric of UPEI since 1978, starting as a sessional instructor in Mathematics and educating students at the university for over 32 years. He held numerous positions including Associate Professor, Acting Dean of Science, Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Director of Computer Science Co-operative Education. Wayne and his wife Marion have been longstanding donors to a variety of UPEI campaigns and projects, supporting over thirteen initiatives at the university. Wayne established this award to honour the students he has had the privilege of teaching and supervising.
