About this opportunity
The Wayne Lonergan Distinguished Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2003 by a donation from Professor Wayne Lonergan to support domestic students who attended a State High School and are commencing an undergraduate degree administered by the University of Sydney Business School. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support outstanding local students from government high schools who are beginning their undergraduate studies in business.
The scholarship provides financial support of $10,000 per annum for up to four years to help students pursue their undergraduate business degrees. Recipients must maintain high academic standards throughout their studies, with a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 75 and enrollment in at least 22 credit points each semester.
The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement, extra-curricular participation, and an interest in business. Recipients may be invited to promote the program, represent the University at student welcome and marketing events, and fulfill the functions of a Business School Student Ambassador.
