We Love Lichfield

We Love Lichfield is a grant program that awards funding of up to £1,000 to community organizations providing facilities or services for local people in the Lichfield district. The aim is to enhance the provision of service, provide new services, or help make organisations more efficient or improve the scope of their provision, which might include extending provision to other people. Grants can be used for either capital or revenue projects and can last for up to a year. Supported projects must provide a service for the local area or residents, improve the lives of local people, or provide a service or facility that would otherwise not be available. For the May funding round, projects should also impact on one of three strategic priorities: vibrant and prosperous economy, healthy and safe communities, or clean, green, welcoming places to live. Eligible organisations include constituted community groups, constituted voluntary groups, registered charities, and social enterprises based in or working for the benefit of people in Lichfield (including the city of Lichfield, Burntwood and surrounding villages). All successful applicants will be invited to a presentation event before funding is issued. It would be unusual for the fund to make an award to the same organisation for the same project two years running, unless significant developments or increased demand can be demonstrated.
