Weather Innovators Scholarship

The Weather Innovators Scholarship supports outstanding majors in atmospheric sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship is designed for students demonstrating exceptional academic performance and commitment to the field of atmospheric sciences. Eligible students must enroll full-time and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA throughout their studies. After the first year and demonstrated academic progress in the study of mathematics and atmospheric science, scholarship recipients will be given the opportunity to work with Innovative Weather, the university's on-campus forecasting and risk-analysis center. This provides valuable hands-on experience in weather forecasting and meteorological analysis. The scholarship is funded by multiple donors and is administered through the UWM Foundation Scholarships program in partnership with the School of Freshwater Sciences. Award amounts vary based on available funding.
