Wellcome Sanger Institute 4-Year PhD Studentships

The Wellcome Sanger Institute is a world leader in genomics research. Their Faculty apply and explore genomic technologies at scale to advance understanding of biology and improve health. Applicants to the Institute's 4-year PhD Programme will be awarded a Wellcome Sanger Institute 4-year PhD Studentship if they are successfully accepted onto the Programme (unless they already have their own externally funded studentship award). The PhD Programme equips students with a unique blend of experimental and informatics skills, maximising their competitiveness for future opportunities. The funded studentships provide full financial support including University tuition fees, regardless of nationality. Maintenance is covered for four years at Wellcome Sanger Institute PhD Studentship rates and University tuition fees are covered for the requisite three years. Students can also be reimbursed for Student Visa and Immigration Health Surcharge costs. In addition, up to £1,500 per year can be provided for students to attend national and international scientific meetings.
