Wellington Doctoral Submission Scholarship

The Wellington Doctoral Submission Scholarship is designed to enable doctoral candidates to fully concentrate on completing their thesis during the final stages of their doctoral program. This scholarship provides financial support for a two-month period immediately before submission of the doctoral thesis for examination. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of $2,666.67 NZD to allow candidates to focus exclusively on thesis completion without financial distractions. Both full-time and half-time doctoral candidates may apply, though half-time candidates must change their registration to full-time status during the scholarship tenure. Applicants and their supervisors must carefully assess the timeline to ensure the thesis can be completed and submitted within the two-month scholarship period. Recipients must be resident in New Zealand for the full duration of the scholarship and are generally not permitted to hold other scholarships concurrently. The scholarship is awarded based on the applicant's demonstrated ability to complete their thesis within the specified timeframe.
