About this opportunity
The Wellington Pasifika Doctoral Scholarship is intended to encourage and support domestic and international Pasifika students to undertake doctoral study at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship provides comprehensive funding to enable full-time doctoral research. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit in combination with the applicant's previous experience and knowledge, community engagement, and the strategic importance and impact of the proposed research. For students studying full-time, the scholarship comprises a $32,000 tax-free stipend per year for three years (36 months), plus full tuition fees and student levies. The stipend is paid in monthly instalments directly to recipients. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and are assessed within 5 weeks of submission.
