Welsford and Mildred Clark Medical Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1988, the Welsford and Mildred Clark Medical Memorial Scholarship provides financial support for third-year medical school students entering their fourth year of medical school. The scholarship is administered by the Waterbury Medical Association, which reviews applicant qualifications and selects recipients. Applicants must be Connecticut residents for five years and be currently enrolled in a not-for-profit medical school accredited by the AMA and/or the World Health Organization. The scholarship selection strongly considers students demonstrating financial need, academic excellence, extracurricular interests, and community service. This award supports medical students during a critical transition year in their medical education.
