About this opportunity
The Wenatchee Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship is offered annually to well-rounded students from Chelan or Douglas County high schools who demonstrate above average strengths in education, financial need, and participation in school and community activities. The mission of Wenatchee Kiwanis is to serve the children of the world, and this scholarship supports graduating seniors who exemplify service to their communities.
The ideal candidate should be affiliated with Kiwanis as an active Key Club member or through an active Kiwanis family member. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of service to others, with at least 200 hours of community service completed during high school years. This includes direct community service activities such as Key Club volunteer work, participation in Youth United, food bank volunteering, or fundraising for nonprofit organizations.
The scholarship is administered through the Community Foundation of North Central Washington and is designed to help students pursue higher education while recognizing their commitment to community service and academic achievement.
