About this opportunity
The Wenatchee Women's Bowling Association – Opal Wickland Scholarship was established through the Wenatchee Women's Bowling Association by a donation from Cheryl Pope in her mother's name. Opal Wickland was a top bowler in the Wenatchee WBA during 1960s and 1970s. The association has been adding to the fund each year and wanted a way to recognize and reward youth bowlers in the Wenatchee Valley. The scholarship enables students to pursue their dreams of a college education and future career. The scholarship is open to youth bowlers in the Wenatchee Valley, including members of the youth association, active bowlers in high school programs, or family members of WVUSBC members. Recipients may apply for renewal, though they must reapply and compete with new applicants each year.
