About this opportunity
This scholarship is offered annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the Werklund School of Education who are entering the French specialization of the Bachelor of Education program. The award is designed to support students who demonstrate both academic merit and a strong interest in effectively teaching French.
Two pathways are eligible for this scholarship: students in the Two-Year Bachelor of Education After-Degree pathway can apply as an entrance award, while students in the Five-Year Concurrent Bachelor of Education pathway are eligible when entering EDUC 400-level courses in the upcoming Fall term. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and their demonstrated evidence of interest and ability to effectively teach French, as evaluated through the faculty's French proficiency interviews.
Two scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually, providing recognition and financial support to students committed to French language education. This internal scholarship is funded by the Werklund School of Education and reflects the institution's commitment to supporting future educators in specialized teaching areas.
