About this opportunity

The Wesley M. Nicol MBET Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding students in the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) program at the University of Waterloo's Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business in the Faculty of Engineering. Wesley Nicol is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has made a profound impact on Ottawa through professional and volunteer engagement in business, education, politics, and housing. He is passionate about the importance of education, family and strong communities in the lives of young people. In recognition of the caliber of the faculty and enthusiasm of students at the University of Waterloo, Mr. Nicol established this scholarship for outstanding MBET students. The scholarship has a minimum value of $10,000 and is awarded annually to one student or divided evenly between two students who are full-time University of Waterloo graduate students in the MBET program. The payout is matched annually by the Faculty of Engineering for a total scholarship of $10,000.
