About this opportunity
The WESTconsin Credit Union Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who are members of the credit union and plan to pursue higher education at a university, college, or trade school. The program awards $500 scholarships to qualifying students in the credit union's membership area in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Launched in 1995, the program has awarded more than $365,000 to local students over its history. To qualify, students must be primary account holders of WESTconsin Credit Union as of August 31 prior to their senior year, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale, and submit a complete application by the March 1 deadline. The program also includes a special Kindness Counts Scholarship that awards two additional $500 scholarships to students who exemplify kindness through their actions, character, and leadership in their communities.
