About This Opportunity

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) award provides eligible undergraduate students from western U.S. states and select Pacific island territories with a significant tuition reduction to attend Colorado State University. WUE recipients pay 150% of Colorado resident base tuition instead of full nonresident tuition, resulting in savings of at least $11,500 per year or $46,000 over four years. The program is available for both incoming freshmen and transfer students who meet specific GPA requirements. Freshmen with a GPA of 3.2 or higher and transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible. High-achieving freshmen with a GPA of 3.8 or above may also qualify for additional awards such as the Rocky Mountain Scholar Award (providing $1,500-$5,500 extra per year) or the Wyoming Scholar Award (reducing tuition to in-state rates for Wyoming residents). No separate scholarship application is required; students are automatically considered when they apply for admission to CSU's main campus by the specified deadlines.
