Westland Veterinary Service Inc. Scholarship

The Westland Veterinary Service Inc. Scholarship supports Bachelor of Veterinary Science students who are interested in pursuing a career in rural veterinary practice. The scholarship is designed for third or fourth year veterinary science students who demonstrate a preference for working in rural practice after graduation. Recipients are required to spend two weeks gaining practical experience at a West Coast based veterinary practice. The scholarship provides $5,000 NZD to support students during their studies and professional development. Up to six awards are available annually, making this a valuable opportunity for veterinary students committed to rural veterinary medicine. Selection is based on academic achievements, relevant experience, referee letters, and demonstrated interest in rural practice.
