Westmead Charitable Trust Travel Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to final year medical students who are pursuing an Elective Term in developing countries or Indigenous health facilities in Australia. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, a reference from a Clinician or Academic associated with Westmead Clinical School, and a personal statement describing the elective term details, the applicant's goals, commitment to study, and why they deserve the scholarship. The scholarship is valued at $3,000 and will be paid as a one-off payment upon receipt of the Acceptance Form and evidence of travel expenses. Recipients are required to submit a brief outline of their achievements following the elective term and present at the Westmead Medical Grand Rounds.
