Weston First in Family Scholarship

The Weston First in Family Scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $8,000 per annum for up to three years to support New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are the first member of their family to attend university. The scholarship is specifically designed for students enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Auckland Business School. Established in 2020 by the Weston family, now resident in the UK, the scholarship aims to help students who, because of financial hardship, may not otherwise be able to undertake a university degree in the Business School. The scholarship provides crucial support to first-generation university students pursuing business education, helping to remove financial barriers to higher education access.
