About this opportunity
The Weyland Scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts, majoring in Political Science at the University of Calgary. Established in memory of Chilton Mewburn Weyland, Maurice Chilton Weyland and Richard Walter Weyland by Mrs. Henrietta Weyland, this scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate interest and ability in the area of constitutional studies.
The award is valued at up to $1,500 and one award is available each year. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and their demonstrated interest and ability in constitutional studies. This is an internal scholarship that requires nomination through the university's undergraduate continuing student application process.
Eligible students must be continuing undergraduates (in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) enrolled in the Faculty of Arts with a major in Political Science. There are no citizenship or residency restrictions for this award.
