About this opportunity
The WH and Elizabeth M Deane Archaeology Research Grant is a $500 scholarship established in 1956 by W.H. and Elizabeth Deane to support the development of Archaeology at the University of Sydney. Its purpose is to support undergraduate students with field work expenses at the Athens Classical Archaeology Intensive Program. This scholarship assists students carrying out archaeological fieldwork as part of the ARCO3404 Archaeology in the Field course offered in the 2026 Summer Intensive. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit, a personal statement outlining what the applicant expects participation in the Athens Summer School will contribute to their studies and future plans, and financial hardship.
