About this opportunity

The Wheatley Family Foundation Scholarship empowers students who are without family support to flourish through their higher education journey by providing support through to graduation. The scholarship provides financial support for up to 4 years based on a full-time study load, including an initial cash stipend of $5,500 for education related expenses, followed by $4,000 per semester allocated to course fees and $1,500 per semester as cash stipend. The longer term goal is to create a cohort of students learning without family support to see the benefit of higher education and encourage them to volunteer their time to mentor and empower the next scholarship recipients. The scholarship also includes access to career development opportunities including Curtin Challenge Modules, career workshops, volunteer opportunities through Curtin Volunteers, and an 11-week industry mentoring program. Recipients must maintain a course weighted average of at least 65 and pass all units attempted each study period while enrolled in at least 50 credits per semester at Curtin University.
