About This Opportunity

Each year the ANU School of Music offers up to four Whitworth Roach Scholarships to encourage and support first-year undergraduate students to undertake studies in classical music performance at the ANU School of Music. The scholarship provides a stipend of between $5,000 and $10,000 per annum depending upon the number of scholarships awarded, with payments made per semester for one year. Funding for this award has been provided by Ms Christine Roach in memory of her parents, Sylvia and William Whitworth, who encouraged Christine's love and appreciation of classical music. Since 2015, Ms Roach has generously supported students in classical music performance and has deepened her support of the School and its students with this additional award. The scholarship is available to domestic students who are recent school-leavers and have completed an Australian Year 12 certificate or International Baccalaureate in Australia in the year before commencing their first year at the ANU School of Music.
