Whitworth Scholarship Awards

The Whitworth Scholarship Awards are designed to enable outstanding engineers who have excellent academic and practical skills and the qualities needed to succeed in industry to take an engineering degree-level programme in any engineering discipline. The awards support undergraduate and masters-level engineering students pursuing full-time, part-time, or sandwich courses including MEng and MSc programmes. The scholarship provides up to £9,000 per year for full-time study for up to 4 years, with a maximum total award of £36,000 per individual. The award is paid on a pro rata or reduced basis for sandwich and part-time courses. Recipients must demonstrate outstanding engineering potential and the qualities needed for industry success. The award can be held in conjunction with other awards, except other Whitworth Awards, and all shortlisted candidates are required to attend mandatory interviews.
