About this opportunity
The Wenatchee High School Class of 1952 started this endowment fund at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington in 2007 to provide annual scholarships to Wenatchee High School graduates who have demonstrated leadership during their years at WHS and have made a positive difference for the school and its students. The scholarship was originally named the WHS Class of 1952 Leadership Scholarship, but the name was changed in 2010 to honor Jane Lovejoy, a class advisor who kept in touch with many class members through the years until her death in September 2009. The ideal scholarship recipient will have helped strengthen the sense of community within the school and through his or her leadership increased the positive experiences of fellow students by making them feel more a member of the WHS community. This scholarship is specifically for graduating seniors from Wenatchee High School who have demonstrated leadership and service in the community.
