William and Mary Hawrysh Memorial Leadership Scholarships

The William and Mary Hawrysh Memorial Leadership Scholarships are awarded annually to Alberta high school graduates with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta. Recipients are chosen on the basis of leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities, and on admission average. The scholarships are funded through an endowment established by the late William Nestor Hawrysh and his wife, Katerina Hawrysh, in memory of Mr. Hawrysh's parents, William and Mary Hawrysh.
