William Arnett Memorial Wardlaw Scholarship

University of St Andrews Original Source

About This Opportunity

The William Arnett Memorial Wardlaw Scholarship was established by Letitia R West in 1957 in memory of William Arnett, in order to support students from Scotland and the rest of the UK in their Medical studies at St Andrews. The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. The scholarship provides £4,400 per year paid as maintenance but can be used towards University accommodation fees. Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to the student's bank account from September to May, with a double payment in February. This award is paid annually for the duration of the student's undergraduate programme. Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria.
