William Benzie Scholarship

The William Benzie Scholarship is awarded to graduate students in English literature at the University of Victoria who demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students who are men. The scholarship is assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units, specifically upon the recommendation of the Department of English. Recipients are approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee. The award amount varies and no application is required, as students are nominated by their department. To be considered, students normally need to maintain an A- average and meet any additional criteria established by the donor.
