About this opportunity
The William Cooper Indigenous Scholarships support high-achieving Indigenous students with leadership potential to engage with their community and support other Indigenous students to access higher education. Two scholarships are available, each scholarship is valued up to $54,500, providing $6,000 per year for the duration of the degree up to a maximum of four years, and annual accommodation costs up to a value of $14,000 per annum for two years only. Recipients must apply for Monash Residential Services. Additional benefits include a $2,500 one-off Monash Global Grant used from the second year of the degree (funded by Monash), and an invitation to apply for a place in Monash Minds, a leadership program for first year students. Selection is based on academic achievement, educational disadvantage and leadership potential as demonstrated in the interview. Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and participate in the Indigenous Student Leaders Program to retain the scholarship.
