The William Crotty Memorial Leadership Scholarship is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate program in the Faculties of Arts, Engineering, or Science at the University of Alberta. Recipients are chosen on the basis of demonstrated leadership qualities through involvement in extracurricular and community activities, as well as admission average. Special consideration is given to graduates of Archbishop MacDonald High School in Edmonton, Alberta who exhibit good humor and/or have indicated financial need. This endowed scholarship was established by family and friends in memory of William Crotty to support incoming undergraduate students who exemplify leadership and community engagement.
