William E. Townsend Scholarship Fund

The William E. Townsend Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 by William E. Townsend, BA '50, to support undergraduate students pursuing studies in the natural sciences at the University at Buffalo. The scholarship demonstrates Mr. Townsend's commitment to advancing scientific education and supporting students from Western New York. Preference is given to chemistry majors, students from Western New York, and those demonstrating outstanding personal character. Financial need may be considered in the selection process, and applicants must complete the FAFSA to be eligible. This scholarship provides valuable support to students in the natural sciences and is available for renewal to recipients who maintain good academic standing throughout their undergraduate career.
