About this opportunity

This is a recruitment scholarship for incoming first year undergraduate students for the upcoming fall term. It is a non-tuition scholarship. In 1992, William E. Townsend, BA '50, created these scholarships for freshmen in the natural sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences. Preference is given to chemistry majors, Western New Yorkers, and those with outstanding personal character. Applicants must complete the FAFSA since financial need may be considered.
