About this opportunity
The William F. Halloran Scholarship is given to a sophomore with a major in the College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The scholarship provides $900 in financial support to students who meet specific eligibility criteria including a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment status for the scholarship period.
Preference is given to students in the Honors College and/or first generation students. Additional preference is given to students majoring in English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Russian, Classics, Comparative Literature, Latin American, Caribbean & US LatinX Studies, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Communication, Art History, Jewish Studies, Comparative Ethnic Studies, Digital Arts and Culture, Film Studies, Women's And Gender Studies, Chinese, or Japanese.
Students who have an up-to-date Panther Scholarship Portal General Application and the College of Letters & Science Scholarships and Awards Application will be considered, typically in spring each year. No additional or separate application is required; students should thoroughly fill out the Panther Scholarship Portal General Application and the College of Letters & Science Scholarships and Awards Application. Awards given in spring are for the following school year so students graduating that same spring or summer are not eligible.
