William G. Riordan Scholarship

The William G. Riordan Scholarship is awarded to senior students at Eastern Illinois University who are majoring in Recreation Administration or Sport and Recreation Management. Recipients must demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and a major GPA of 3.00. The scholarship seeks to support students who show evidence of potential for making major contributions to the field of recreation following graduation. Evidence includes scholarship, extra-curricular activities, volunteer and paid experience in recreation agencies, and personal dedication to the field of recreation. The award is announced and paid in the Spring Semester.
