William Gene and Brigitte Johanna Brown Scholarship - Foreign Language (Odd Fiscal Years)

The William Gene and Brigitte Johanna Brown Scholarship supports full-time students at Eastern Illinois University who are majoring in World Languages and Cultures. This scholarship is specifically designed for students of at least sophomore status who demonstrate leadership in promoting the study of World Languages and Cultures. Preference is given to students pursuing teacher certification and those participating in Study Abroad programs at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship recognizes students who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and have at least one semester of study remaining after the award is made. Financial need is not a consideration for this award. The scholarship is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester during odd fiscal years.
