About this opportunity
The William H. Feller and Edna B. Feller Scholarship was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation by Robert L. Feller Ph.D. to honor his parents and his scholastic training in the Linden Public School System, culminating in his graduation from Linden High School in 1937. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Linden High School in Linden, New Jersey who plan to pursue higher education at accredited vocational, technical, trade schools, or 2- or 4-year colleges or universities.
The scholarship recognizes Robert Feller's distinguished career as an internationally known research scientist at Mellon Institute, where he conducted pioneering research on the deterioration of paints, pigments, and varnishes. His work resulted in numerous honors and landmark publications in the field of conservation science. The scholarship carries forward his family's commitment to education and provides financial support to students from his hometown school district.
This single-year award provides up to $3,000 to eligible students who have maintained at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Preference is given to applicants who can demonstrate financial need. Applications are administered through Scholarship America and are accepted annually in early winter.
