About this opportunity
The William McIlrath Memorial Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies in Music Performance and Research supports postgraduate students to undertake studies in music performance and research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Established in 2011 and donated by Helen Selle and Michael Winston-Smith, this scholarship assists outstanding postgraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship is available to students enrolled or with an unconditional offer for full-time postgraduate coursework or research degrees in music performance with a research component. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the offer letter. For coursework students, payments are made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. For postgraduate research students, the value is paid as a stipend on a fortnightly basis. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance and meet ongoing eligibility requirements.
