William P. Simmons Art Scholarship Fund

The William P. Simmons Art Scholarship Fund recognizes and develops the artistic skills and talents of Georgia art students by awarding scholarships to students at Wesleyan College or Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Primary emphasis is given to artists who are in their junior or senior year or in graduate school who are studying painting, drawing or other visual arts. The scholarship provides $2,000 awards to two students per year, with an additional $500 award going to the Art Department of the recipient's school for their cooperation and support. Applicants must be referred by the Art Department of either Wesleyan College or Mercer University.
