About this opportunity
The William Petrie Scholarship is awarded annually to an academically outstanding graduate student in any discipline at the University of Victoria who can demonstrate effective utilization of library resources for academic purposes. The scholarship recognizes students who have used library resources—including print, archival, music, multimedia, digital, and other formats—for a class project, assignment, or research paper. Eligible students must complete a 500-word essay explaining their use of library resources as part of the application process. The award amount varies and is determined by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation from the University Librarian's Office.
