About this opportunity
This scholarship has been established in honour of Professor William Tutte (1917-2002), OC, FRS, FRSC, in recognition of his fundamental contributions to mathematics. The scholarship is awarded annually, if suitable candidates exist, to full-time doctoral students in the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization who show promise of excellence in research, preferably in combinatorics and/or graph theory and who would not be able to attend graduate school without financial support. The value of the scholarship will be determined annually by the Department and the scholarship is tenable for up to four years. The terms of this award may be redefined by the Departmental Graduate Committee. Students are selected automatically by the Faculty or Department in the Spring term.
