Willie R. Evans UB Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Established in 2010 by the UB Alumni Association in honor of Willie R. Evans, EDM '60, this scholarship supports full-time undergraduate students at the University at Buffalo who have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who graduated from UB. The scholarship is awarded annually in the spring semester to qualifying students in any academic discipline or course of study. Applicants must demonstrate the impact of UB legacy on their experience, their outlook towards UB, and their contribution to campus life. Preference is given to students with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and financial need may be considered. Finalists may be interviewed, with the application opening in August and a deadline of October 1 for submission of all components. Award recipients are selected and announced in January.
