About This Opportunity
The Windrush Compensation Advocacy Support Fund (WCASF) is an injection of £1.5 million grant funding over 3 years providing essential advocacy support for Windrush Compensation Scheme (WCS) claimants. Year 2 funding is open to established organisations with experience in delivering Windrush Compensation Scheme advocacy support, enabling support to potential claimants within an awarded region and throughout the WCS claim process. Advocates will understand a claimants' culture and support them to articulate their story, with the aim of submitting a viable and eligible application. Support includes practical help and assistance with information and evidence gathering. Advocates will establish trusting and positive relationships, ensuring claimants feel safe and comfortable telling their story. The UK is divided into ten geographical regions, and successful applicants will be required to deliver a minimum of five pop-up hubs within each awarded region.
