About this opportunity
The Wladyslaw Cieszynski Memorial Award in Verse is a fellowship for currently-enrolled graduate students in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The award recognizes excellence in poetry and is specifically for students entering their last year of study who have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Applicants must submit one previously published poem of no more than two pages, which must have been published either online or in print. The submission process requires a PDF copy of the journal cover or website's front page, table of contents if applicable, and the published piece with the author's name redacted. The award is announced in the spring and paid in the following fall semester for awardees enrolled at UWM that fall semester.
