About this opportunity
The W.M. Tapp Studentships in Law are prestigious awards offered by Gonville & Caius College at the University of Cambridge for PhD students in Law. The studentships provide comprehensive financial support for outstanding law graduates pursuing doctoral research at Cambridge.
The value of each studentship is determined after considering successful candidates' income from other sources. The award covers approved University and College fees for both home and international students, along with a maintenance award that satisfies the University Postgraduate Admissions Office's conditions for entry as a postgraduate student. Additionally, recipients receive a college scholarship of £500 per annum. International students may also receive a contribution towards travel expenses to the UK.
Further support includes allowances for dependents and grants for research expenses. Approximately two studentships are awarded annually based on academic merit. The tenure is for three years and is conditional upon acceptance by the Postgraduate Admissions Office.
Candidates must be graduates in Law from any university worldwide or be about to graduate by September 1st of the year they commence studies. They must demonstrate outstanding academic ability, and first consideration is given to candidates who nominate Gonville & Caius College as their first preference college. Applications require completion of a college-specific form, transcripts, and two Tapp-specific supporting references.
