Wolfgang and Barbara Schlauch European History Scholarship

The Wolfgang and Barbara Schlauch European History Scholarship supports outstanding history students at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate excellence in historical writing and have focused their studies on world history with a preference for European history. The scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are either senior history majors or graduate students in history. Recipients must have completed three or more courses in world history at the 3000 or 4000 level, preferably with a concentration on European history. The scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarly achievements with a focus on historical writing and who maintain a strong academic record with an overall GPA of at least 3.25. Recipients may reapply for the award in subsequent years if they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. The award is announced and paid in the Spring semester.
