About this opportunity
The Women Empowerment Foundation Scholarship was created to help power the movement of female leaders by inspiring and enabling women to pursue higher education. The foundation envisions a future where every woman has the ability and rights to excel, irrespective of her background or circumstances. There are a total of 3 grants of $2,500 each available: one open to all female students who are Canadian residents applying for an undergraduate program in a Canadian post-secondary institute; the second is for females pursuing an education/career in STEM; and the third is for BIPOC females pursuing an undergraduate program in a Canadian post-secondary institute.
Recipients will be chosen based on their commitment to academics, community service, and participation in extracurricular activities. This scholarship is specifically designed for female students who identify as female, are residing in Canada, and are planning to attend post-secondary school in Canada. The award supports first-year undergraduate students entering any faculty at the University of Calgary.
