About this opportunity
Established in 2014 by Sarah Kastendiek, Jo-Ann Mones, Dorothy Pidruchney, and Valerie Smith as part of Lakeland College's Centennial Campaign, the Women In Trades Award supports female students pursuing trades education. The award is available to female students enrolled full-time in any Pre-employment program or any year of an Apprenticeship program at Lakeland College's Vermilion campus. Recipients are selected based on several criteria including displaying good work ethic, showing motivation and career goal orientation, and demonstrating academic achievement. Preference is given to pre-employment students. The award amount varies and is intended to support women entering and succeeding in trades and technology fields.
