Women in Trades Bursary

The Women in Trades Bursary is a financial need-based award offered by Red Deer Polytechnic to support students in apprenticeship programs. This bursary is designed to encourage and support women pursuing careers in trades by providing financial assistance to continue their education. The award provides $1,000 to one student per year who is enrolled in an apprenticeship program at Red Deer Polytechnic. Recipients must demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum 80% average and show financial need. Preference is given to female students in recognition of the need to support women entering and succeeding in trades professions. This bursary was established by donor Christine Dach and is part of Red Deer Polytechnic's commitment to supporting students in technical and trades education. Students are automatically considered for this award when they complete the General Application through the institution's scholarship portal.
