Eligible students must be graduating seniors from one of the four public high schools in Josephine County (Grants Pass, Hidden Valley, Illinois Valley, and North Valley) and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above. The scholarship targets students planning to pursue majors in medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, nutrition, dental hygiene, occupational health, and allied health technician areas such as EMTs, X-ray technicians, or lab technicians.
The selection process considers both the applicant's demonstrated interest in health or medical field professions and financial need. Students must apply by completing the Redwood Local Scholarship Application, which is screened by high school counselors before being forwarded to the donor organization for final selection. Recipients must contact the Women of the Moose chapter in Merlin, Oregon to redeem their scholarship award.
