About this opportunity
Wooden Spoon, the children's charity of rugby, offers grant funding to projects in the UK and Ireland that make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. Since 1983, the charity has committed over £32 million to 1,626 projects, supporting more than two million children and young people living with a disability, who are disengaged, or who are disadvantaged. The grant programme focuses on several key areas including health and wellbeing, playgrounds and outdoor activities, sensory rooms, gardens and spaces, and specialist equipment and facilities. Organizations interested in applying must first review the qualifying criteria and then complete an expression of wish form for initial assessment by the projects team. The charity aims to respond to applications within 6 weeks of submission. Projects must align with Wooden Spoon's mission of transforming children and young people's lives through the power of the rugby community.
