About this opportunity
The Woolley Memorial Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Classics provides financial support to students undertaking research in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Sydney. This scholarship commemorates Dr John Woolley, the first Principal and Professor of the University of Sydney. The scholarship is designed to support doctoral research focusing on the Classics including language, literature, history and cultures from ancient Greece and Rome from the eighth century BC to the eighth century AD. Recipients receive a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. The scholarship provides comprehensive support for full-time PhD students in the School of Humanities, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, enabling them to focus on their research in classical studies.
